The holidays are here! Does that statement bring stress or joy?
Instead of stressing out about the holidays, I encourage you to lean into the season. Let the Pinterest-perfect expectations go so you can treasure the moments. That’s exactly what I’ve been doing for the past few weeks- slowing down to savor time with family and friends.
Of course, if you’re a high achiever, that might feel wrong or unnatural. You may even have twinges of guilt for not pushing harder. But listen up! When we slow down, it helps us to eliminate some of the stress in our lives. And having less stress during the holidays is the best gift you can give yourself.
Here are three more benefits of slowing down:
1. Greater clarity. When you are in a constant state of go-go-go, you act on impulses. When you slow down, you act on your priorities.
2. Peace of mind. The intentional act of slowing down shifts your energy from chaos to mindfulness.
3. You’ll feel better. Doing less and slowing down has made me feel less stressed, more centered, and more in control. Give it a try, and let me know if you feel the same way.
I get it, a slower pace isn’t always possible, but chances are high that you’re filling your day with at least a few activities that aren’t necessary at all. You know, things like the games you play on your phone or the hours you spend scrolling through social media. 😊
Do you feel that this describes you and want some help? Then please get in touch with me for a 1:1 coaching session. I’d be honored to help you.

I would love for you to join me at my next virtual public workshop, “Empowering You Through Goals” on November 29th, 9:30-11:00 am PT.
I am partnering with Office Experts and will be discussing goals with a business slant on the EA role. We will talk about measurable goals, how to talk with your executive regarding your goals, KPIs, and so much more.
The cost of the workshop is $49.95 and includes the companion guide. You can register here.
I hope you can join us!
